First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tests a new surgical approach for people with moderate-to-severe Alzheimer's disease. The surgery aims to improve the drainage of waste from the brain by decompressing lymphatic vessels in the neck and connecting lymph nodes to veins. Researchers will measure changes in memory, thinking, and brain amyloid levels over time. The trial involves 45 participants aged 50-80 and is currently enrolling by invitation.
