First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at a new way to treat severe jaw misalignment (skeletal Class III) called the Surgery-First approach. Instead of braces first, surgery is done right away to fix the jaw, then braces follow. Researchers will use 3D scans and dental models to see how well the jaw and face heal over one year. The study includes 60 people who already had this surgery.
