Glowing dye could prevent hidden surgical injury

Summary
This study is testing an injection called IS-001 to see if it helps surgeons better see the ureter during robotic colon surgery. The goal is to prevent accidental cuts or damage to this important tube, which carries urine from the kidney. About 146 patients scheduled for this type of surgery will receive the injection so researchers can measure how clearly it makes the ureter show up on the surgical camera.
