NCT ID NCT07325877

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new method of placing plastic stents in the bile duct to relieve jaundice caused by cancer. About 70 adults with bile duct blockages will be randomly assigned to either the standard stent placement or a new technique that avoids cutting the bile duct muscle. The goal is to see which method keeps the stent working longer and causes fewer side effects.
