First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding one extra hour of structured physical activity each week for 12 weeks helps preschool children (ages 3-6) move better, sleep better, think sharper, and manage emotions. About 80 children from a school in Portugal will take part, with some getting the extra play sessions and others following their usual routine. Researchers will track changes using activity monitors, fitness tests, and thinking games.
