New targeted pill shows promise for rare lung cancer mutations

Summary

This study tests a daily pill called sunvozertinib in 34 people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has certain uncommon EGFR gene changes. Participants have not had prior cancer treatment. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors and delay cancer growth. This is a phase 2 trial, so it is still being checked for safety and effectiveness.
