New sunscreen aims to stop precancerous skin lesions in their tracks

NCT ID NCT07335003

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a new sunscreen, Anthelios Fluide 100 KA+ UVMune 400, can prevent actinic keratosis (AK) — rough, scaly precancerous spots caused by sun damage — in adults aged 60 and older who already have multiple AKs. Eighty participants will be randomly assigned to use the sunscreen with good sun habits or continue their usual sun protection. The main goal is to see if the sunscreen reduces the number of new AK lesions over time.
