First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a new drug called SUL-238 can improve energy production in brain cells of people with early, untreated Parkinson's disease. About 45 participants will take either SUL-238 or a placebo daily for 28 days. Researchers will use special MRI scans to measure brain energy levels and check for side effects. This is an early-phase study focused on understanding how the drug works, not on curing the disease.
