First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests whether a newer drug, sugammadex, helps people breathe better right after lung surgery compared to an older drug, neostigmine. About 240 adults having a small part of their lung removed will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs. The main goal is to see if sugammadex leads to less decline in lung function one hour after surgery.
