Researchers hunt for hidden causes of Amputation-Linked leg disease
NCT ID NCT07233356
Summary
This study aimed to understand why severe blockages in the lower leg arteries are more common in Guadeloupe. Researchers enrolled 123 adults with leg artery disease to compare their blood and urine markers. The goal was to identify new risk factors, focusing on a long-term blood sugar marker (HbA1c), to better understand who is at highest risk for this serious condition.
