New study aims to prevent caregiver burnout and emergency crises for people with disabilities

Summary
This study will test whether a 4-week stay in a dedicated transitional care unit can help people with disabilities and their primary caregivers avoid breakdowns and exhaustion at home. About 100 participants will work with experts to set personal goals and track their progress. The goal is to improve quality of life and reduce the need for emergency care.
