New combo therapy aims to stop Post-Surgery sickness in women

Summary

This study looks at whether combining a sedative drug (dexmedetomidine) with a gentle nerve stimulation technique can lower the chance of nausea and vomiting after laparoscopic surgery in women. About 176 women aged 18 to 65 having planned surgery will take part. The goal is to find a better way to prevent these common side effects and improve recovery.
