First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looked at insurance records of over 3,000 men aged 65 and older with metastatic prostate cancer that still responds to hormone therapy. Researchers wanted to see how long patients actually take newer hormonal drugs (abiraterone, apalutamide, or enzalutamide) in everyday care. The study did not test new treatments but instead gathered information from Medicare claims to understand real-world treatment patterns.
