Taxing E-Cig flavors: will it keep kids away and help smokers quit?
NCT ID NCT07581041
First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at whether raising taxes on e-cigarettes with features that appeal to young people (like flavors) can discourage teens and young adults from using them, while also encouraging adult smokers to switch away from regular cigarettes. Researchers will survey about 3,400 participants, including youth and adults, to see how they would respond to different tax and ban scenarios. The goal is to find policies that improve public health by reducing nicotine addiction in youth and helping adult smokers quit.
