First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study reviewed medical records of 104 adults in the ICU with severe pneumonia caused by three common bacteria. Researchers wanted to see if a high dose of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid (a standard antibiotic) could work as well as stronger antibiotics. The goal is to find effective treatments that also help reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.
