New study seeks to improve lung cancer treatment for black patients

Summary

This study enrolls 318 Black patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer to see how well the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab (with or without chemotherapy) works in real-world settings. Researchers will track survival and tumor progression, and look for biomarkers in the blood that might predict who responds best. The goal is to gather knowledge to improve treatment for this group.
