New drug cocktail shows promise for tough blood cancers

Summary
This study tests a combination of four chemotherapy drugs (cladribine, idarubicin, cytarabine, and venetoclax) in about 500 adults with acute myeloid leukemia, high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome, or blast-phase chronic myeloid leukemia. The goal is to see how well these drugs kill cancer cells and stop them from growing. Participants will be monitored for side effects and how long they respond to treatment.
