Can stem cells fight frailty? small safety trial shows promise

NCT ID NCT06063590

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tested whether a single infusion of StromaForte, made from donor bone marrow cells, is safe for people with aging frailty. Twelve adults aged 60 to 85 who were mildly or moderately frail received the treatment. Researchers tracked side effects and changes in inflammation markers like TNF-alpha and CRP for six months to see if the therapy could help control frailty-related decline.
