Radiation boost may extend life in kidney cancer that has spread

NCT ID NCT06726421

First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study is for people with kidney cancer that has spread to up to 5 places in the body. It tests whether adding precise, high-dose radiation (SBRT) to standard drug therapy (targeted agents and immunotherapy) helps them live longer without the cancer growing. About 252 adults will be randomly assigned to get either drugs alone or drugs plus radiation. The goal is to see if the combination improves progression-free survival and quality of life.
