New injection combo could ease stroke Patients' stiff arms

NCT ID NCT07440173

Summary

This study is testing if a combination of two different injections works better than the standard treatment alone for reducing muscle stiffness in the arm after a stroke. Researchers will compare the standard botulinum toxin injection to a new approach that adds a different medicine called phenol for the shoulder and upper arm. The goal is to see if the combination reduces stiffness just as well while possibly using less of the expensive botulinum toxin.
