Can a phone app teach cops to breathe away burnout?
NCT ID NCT07386951
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple breathing and biofeedback app can help police officers manage job stress. 50 Portuguese National Guard officers will use an app for 12 sessions to learn breathing techniques guided by their own heart rate. Researchers want to see if this training reduces distress and burnout while improving their overall sense of well-being.
