First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether using a stress ball during a Pap smear can reduce pain and anxiety. 141 women aged 18-35 who had a Pap smear before took part. Half used a stress ball during the exam, and the other half did not. The goal was to see if this simple tool could improve the patient experience and encourage more women to get regular check-ups.
