New stitch may cut C-Section pain and opioid use

Summary
This study compares two types of stitches used to close the belly muscle after a C-section. The goal is to see if a newer, barbed stitch (Stratafix) causes less pain and reduces the need for strong painkillers compared to the standard stitch (PDS). About 200 women having their first C-section will take part. Results will measure pain levels and opioid use in the first two weeks after surgery.
