New hope for blood cancer patients who fail standard therapy

Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new drug called STP938 in 20 adults with high risk essential thrombocythaemia (ET) whose current treatment (hydroxycarbamide) no longer works or causes side effects. The main goal is to see if STP938 safely lowers high platelet counts. Participants take the drug daily for up to 12 months and have regular clinic visits and tests.
