New screening effort aims to catch stomach cancer early in High-Risk groups

NCT ID NCT06408220

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of questionnaires, a simple breath test for a stomach bacteria (H. pylori), and optional endoscopies can effectively identify people at high risk for stomach cancer. The goal is to find cancer earlier when it's easier to treat, focusing on adults aged 40-80 from Asian, Hispanic, or Black American communities. Participants will be followed for up to three years to see if this screening approach is practical and useful.
