What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Purse-string wound closure technique
What this could lead to
If the purse-string method works better, it could reduce infections and speed up healing for children after stoma reversal surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 108 children. Results may not apply to all patients, and the technique might not show clear benefits over the standard method.
