First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a steroid to the numbing medicine could reduce pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after wisdom tooth surgery. Twenty-five adults with similar impacted wisdom teeth on both sides of their mouth received the standard numbing medicine on one side and the steroid-enhanced version on the other. The goal was to see if the steroid mixture made recovery more comfortable.
