New combo therapy tested for Steroid-Induced diabetes
NCT ID NCT07117240
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage high blood sugar that develops as a side effect of steroid medications. It will compare a newer combination therapy (a once-daily injection containing two drugs) against the standard treatment of multiple daily insulin injections. About 100 adults who developed diabetes while taking steroids for conditions like arthritis or asthma will participate, and their blood sugar control will be monitored closely for six months.
