New device kit aims to seal the chest after major heart operations
NCT ID NCT06065800
Summary
This study observed how well a specific set of medical devices helps the breastbone heal after open-heart surgery. Doctors followed 150 adult patients for six months after their operations to see how stable their breastbones became and to check for complications like infections or reopening of the wound. The goal was to gather real-world information on the safety and performance of these devices, which are already in routine use.
