New stent device tested to save legs from amputation

NCT ID NCT03349996

Summary

This study tested a medical device called the LifeStream stent graft to treat severe blockages in the arteries that supply blood to the legs. It involved 70 patients with advanced peripheral arterial disease to see if the device could keep the arteries open and improve blood flow over five years. The main goal was to see if the artery stayed open after one year and to monitor safety.
