Tight leg cuffs during workouts may boost stem cells, study finds
NCT ID NCT07213726
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a special tourniquet to slow blood flow to the legs during exercise changes how many stem cells enter the bloodstream. Fifteen healthy adults aged 18-45 will do leg exercises with the cuff on, and researchers will draw blood before, right after, and at several times post-exercise to measure stem cell levels. The goal is to understand the body's response, not to treat any disease.
