First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares a new bone-building kit made from stem cells and special materials to the standard surgery that uses bone from the hip to fix a gap in the gum (alveolar cleft) in children with cleft lip and palate. About 205 children aged 6 to 11 will take part. The goal is to see if the stem cell kit works as well or better, with a shorter hospital stay and less pain.
