First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether repeated injections of a patient's own stem cells (taken from their fat) into the brain can slow down memory and thinking problems in people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. About 115 adults aged 45 to 85 will receive either the stem cells or a placebo every two months for a year. The goal is to see if this treatment can safely slow the disease's progression.
