Race to find better prep for Life-Saving transplants

NCT ID NCT01366612

Summary

This study compared two different drug combinations given to patients before they received a stem cell transplant from a donor. The goal was to see which combination better prevented the cancer from returning while causing fewer side effects. The trial involved adults with certain blood cancers like leukemia and was stopped early after enrolling 53 of the planned 80 participants.
