First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested a new treatment for knee osteoarthritis using stem cells and a special liquid (secretome) from umbilical cord tissue. 31 patients aged 55-70 received the therapy either with or without a minor knee surgery (arthroscopy). The goal was to see if the stem cell combination could reduce pain and improve knee function. Results focused on pain scores, joint stiffness, and physical ability.
