Summary
This study tested a combination of two drugs, plerixafor and G-CSF, to improve the collection of stem cells for transplant in 53 adults with multiple myeloma. The goal was to see if this approach could collect enough healthy stem cells in fewer sessions. The results help doctors plan safer and more effective transplants for this blood cancer.
