First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This early study tests a new approach for adults with liver failure: using stem cells in a blood purification machine. The stem cells work outside the body to filter the blood. Researchers want to see if this treatment is safe and can improve survival at 28 days. Ten participants will receive the treatment along with standard care.
