First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a low-intensity statin combined with ezetimibe is better than a high-intensity statin alone at preventing new diabetes in people with prediabetes and heart disease. About 4,000 adults aged 18-75 with prediabetes and a history of heart problems will be enrolled. The goal is to see which approach lowers the risk of developing diabetes while still protecting the heart.
