First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether a toothpaste with stannous fluoride reduces bad breath better than a regular fluoride toothpaste. 49 adults brushed twice daily with each toothpaste in separate periods. Trained smell judges rated their breath odor at the start and after treatment. The goal was to see if the special toothpaste could freshen breath more effectively.
