New drug could save tiny babies from deadly gut disease

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called ST266 in babies with a severe gut infection called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). The goal is to see if it is safe and helps the gut heal faster. About 36 infants will receive one of two doses daily through an IV. Researchers will monitor side effects and how quickly the babies recover.
