First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares a new minimally invasive treatment called superior rectal artery embolization (SRAE) to standard procedures for controlling bleeding from hemorrhoids. About 80 adults with grade I-III hemorrhoids and significant bleeding will be randomly assigned to SRAE or standard care. The goal is to see if SRAE works just as well while being less painful and having fewer side effects.
