Chill out: could a simple spray make skin cancer surgery less painful?
NCT ID NCT06920381
Summary
This study is testing if spraying a cooling substance (ethyl chloride) on the skin can reduce the pain of the anesthetic injections needed for Mohs skin cancer surgery. In this trial, 80 patients will have one side of their surgical area sprayed before the injection, while the other side is not. Researchers will compare the pain scores from each side to see if the spray helps.
