Pee breakthrough: One-Cup test could replace Day-Long urine jug for myeloma patients

NCT ID NCT05208086

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study checks if a single urine sample (spot urine) can detect myeloma proteins as well as the standard 24-hour urine collection. About 180 multiple myeloma patients starting a new treatment will provide both types of samples. If the spot test proves accurate, it could make monitoring much easier and more convenient for patients.
