New Artery-Directed chemo shows promise for tough pancreatic tumors

NCT ID NCT07497204

First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at 60 people with advanced pancreatic body or tail cancer that couldn't be removed by surgery. It compared standard chemotherapy given through a vein to a more targeted method where chemo is delivered directly to the spleen artery, aiming to get more drug to the tumor with fewer body-wide side effects. The goal was to see if this approach could help people live longer and have better control of their cancer.
