First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at the best way to treat a grade III spleen injury in patients who are stable after trauma. It compares two procedures: laparoscopic splenectomy (keyhole removal of the spleen) and splenic artery embolization (blocking the artery to stop bleeding). The goal is to see which method leads to fewer complications and a better quality of life. 24 participants were followed after treatment.
