One big zap or three small ones? trial tests new way to fight spine Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT03028337
Summary
This study is testing if delivering a single, large dose of targeted radiation is as good as or better than the standard three smaller doses for treating cancer that has spread to the spine and returned after prior radiation. It involves 80 adults with solid tumor cancers. Researchers will compare how long the treatment controls the cancer at the spine site and how well it relieves pain.
