Spinal zaps + leg drills may boost walking after injury

NCT ID NCT05429736

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining leg exercises with a gentle electrical stimulation on the back can improve walking, balance, and strength in people with incomplete spinal cord injury. About 28 adults with chronic spinal injury will do moderate-intensity motor training, some with added spinal stimulation. The goal is to see if this simple, home-friendly approach helps them walk faster and with less spasticity.
