New bone graft study aims to ease chronic back pain

NCT ID NCT03118505

First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests a special bone graft material (Infuse Bone Graft with Mastergraft Strip) used during spinal fusion surgery for people with degenerative spine conditions affecting multiple vertebrae. About 100 participants will receive the graft along with metal screws and rods to stabilize the spine. The goal is to see if the graft helps bones fuse together safely and effectively, which could reduce pain and improve function.
