Brain-Spine-Robot Team-Up aims to help paralyzed patients walk again

NCT ID NCT06881134

Summary

This study explored a new rehabilitation approach for people with spinal cord injuries. It combined two technologies: an implanted device that electrically stimulates the spinal cord and a wearable robotic exoskeleton that helps with walking. The goal was to see if using them together could safely improve leg muscle strength and movement in 10 participants over a year.
