Doctors test spinal anesthesia safety in High-Risk heart surgeries

NCT ID NCT06156592

Summary

This study observed how spinal anesthesia affects blood pressure and heart function in patients with two different severe heart valve problems during valve replacement surgery. Researchers monitored 44 patients to see if the traditional belief—that spinal anesthesia is riskier for one valve condition than the other—holds true in real-time. The goal was to gather better information to guide safer anesthesia choices for these complex surgeries.
